Leading with resilience during a time of collective grief

We are enormously privileged to announce that one of the Commonwealth’s leading Executive Leadership CoachesDr Helena Dolny from South Africa, will host two sessions for CSC alumni on leading with resilience through a time of collective grief.

COVID19 is not yet predictable.  The medical profession is still learning.  The strain mutations are a cause for anxiety.  The first vaccines may not be effective against the new strains.

  • What does all of this mean for us in our world of work?
  • What is our shared experience? What has provoked creativity? What has caused grief?
  • What does it mean to be a leader and to lead during times of collective grief?

Join Dr Helena Dolny from Love, Legacy, Dignity, for this workshop, covering two key topic areas:

1. Adversity in a Pandemic

Acknowledges our ongoing context – our ‘normal’ life crises that are exacerbated by the pandemic.

Resilience by Design: Reviews the essential ingredients of maintaining physical and emotional well-being and provides tools to plan and support the self-monitoring of your personal well-being.

Being able to lead and collaborate with others requires that we ourselves begin from a place of strength

2. Grief – no design

Reviews how COVID19 has brought more than loss of life, grief is amplified and expanded through not only the loss of loved ones, but also loss of opportunities, loss of dreams, loss of freedom of movement, loss of physical connectivity.

We share learnings and tools from grief research and counselling that we can use to support ourselves and others – especially at this time when social distancing has deprived many of the comfort of exchanging last words in person or the undertaking of important rituals.

Select from one of the following sessions based on your time zone preference:

20 July 2021, 16h00 – 18h00 UTC

21 July 2021, 07h00 – 09h00 UTC

Please note: The session provides a unique opportunity to engage and learn from other CSC alumni from across the Commonwealth so please come prepared to share your own learnings from recent times, in particular what has helped and what has hindered you as a leader.
