We are incredibly excited to support the rejuvenation of CSC UK Alumni with the first of a series of ‘pop-up’ events planned over the next 18 months.
Since last year’s Commonwealth Study Conference in Canada, UK-based alumni from a range of programmes over the years, have come together to establish – in the first instance – an informal organisation to connect and reconnect alumni across the four nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Key developments:
- Ashley Barratt (2017) has led on establishing an 18 month programme of events, starting with a pop-up in Bradford on the 21st of August, being organised by Dr Mohammed Ali OBE (1992) and Dr Mohammed Sattar (2023). Click here for details
- Ed Greig (2023) is leading on media and communications including logo design and establishing a LinkedIn account to keep alumni informed and updated with what is happening across the UK
- John Thompson (2016, 2017) is drafting a constitution
CSC UK Alumni are also in discussions with the UK Trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences to support plans for a future Commonwealth Study Conference to be held in the UK.
